Fair and Constructive Peer Review
ASM values the work of authors and reviewers. Therefore, mBio is committed to providing a fair and streamlined review process. Manuscripts are handled by well-known and established experts in the field of microbial research. Once accepted, manuscripts are published online in final format as quickly as possible.
Format-Neutral Submissions
For initial submissions, mBio welcomes papers in any format (format-neutral submissions). At this stage, authors are encouraged to upload a single PDF that incorporates the full text, tables, and figures. The reference style, the arrangement of sections of the paper, and other formatting issues are at the discretion of the author at initial submission.
Peer review averages above are based on 2019 data.
